DAY 1, Friday, Nov. 6, 2020
No symptoms today. Still awaiting test results. The woman upstairs is confirmed COVID-positive, but she’s still mostly nice. She came down briefly, shared some information, made herself lunch, and opened the windows. She tells me she feels the same as yesterday, basic symptoms of the common cold, and very tired. I believe I know her, but I’m afraid to ask her to remove her mask to confirm her identity. She went back upstairs. Sometimes I hear her talking to people up there, I assume telecommunications. She took possession of my MacBook charger. I await her demands for its safe return.
Neighbor’s motorcycle is ridiculously loud, and not the good, Harley kind of loud.
People who live in some other states take a long, long time to count things. I feel like I’m smarter than they are, but they’re trying their best.
I haven’t cleaned my guns in a while.
The lawn mower needs to get put away for the winter.
I am extremely frustrated that there are not more episodes of “The Mandalorian” available.
There are many free online websites specifically designed to help individuals who are missing human physical contact and interaction to, shall we say, “come to grips” with what they’re missing. Many websites. Some of them, maybe too helpful. But it’s a nice public service.
There are many strangely specific varieties of soap, but it’s mostly just the same soap.
Today’s quarantine playlist: Sheryl Crow, Charlie Daniels, Ray Charles, and Mother Father Sister Brother (TSOP).
Overall status: Cool as balls.
